I am a heterosexual male and my wife has never been tested and I have been tested back in Dec of 2002 and I was neg. My decision to be tested is in part of us trying for a child and it's a big fear and a neg result will help with my general anxiety disorder.
I read that there is a 1/500 chance of a male contracting HIV from a positive female so that is comforting. I should recieve my results Wednesday or Thursday.
Pray for me and wish me luck.

I'll pray for you if you pray for me.
But seriously I know this is no laughing matter. You should be proud of yourself for taking the responsibility to have a test.
I'm pretty much on the same boat as you. My fiance gets his results in 3-5 days.
I know just what you mean about a negative result helping with aniety, but the most grueling part is this waiting!
I think I'll lose about 10lbs this week cuz I'll be too nervous to eat.
Good luck and God bless, friend.

Thank you.
I had sex with maybe 8 women by the time I was 21. Nothing too risky for the fact that I was young when I had sex with them and they were too so the risk was minimal.
That test was the week in hell.
Since then I have been tested since testing was mandatory for any relationship that I would be in.
Except my wife, but my choosing to be tested is simply for piece of mind.
Nothing weird going on with my body.
