I'm trying to lose 40 more pounds by October first. I recently lost ten pounds but now I am having EXTREME difficulty losing any more weight. My activity has greatly increased and I have been eating better. Could it be maybe I'm not eating enough? I run 1-5 miles a week, do 30 minutes on the elliptical 2 or 3 times a week but I also play softball twice a week and take a heavy bag class which is an HOUR LONG of cardio, punching, kicking, situps, push ups.... Can someone tell me why I am not losing any more weight?

When I lost the ten pounds, I was eating like **** and just doing the elliptical 3 times a week...and the occasional jog...HELP, IM SICK OF BEING FAT!!!

Forty pounds by October 1st is tough but doable - you'll need to lose two pounds a week which is the upper edge of what you can do. Of course, if losing 40 pounds is bringing you down to an ideal weight (as opposed to losing the first bit of a greater amount of weight) then it will slow down near the end.

You may very well be not eating enough. It is difficult to tell without your stats. What is your height and weight? How many calories are you consuming?

You know after all that your muscle is increasing in weight also. Muscle weighs a lot more then fat.

I'm 5'2 and around 175/176 right now. I lost ten pounds quickly and now can't seem to lose any more. I am most likely consuming between 1,000 and 2,000 calories a day but no way any more then that. I am heavy (I got heavy from medication) but I'm not a big eater...in fact, all my friends are surprised at how LITTLE food i eat....
