My local pharmacy recently changed their hours and now close earlier and I was unaware and was unable to pick up my prescription. I usually take out the ring at 11pm tuesday and put a new one in at 11pm the following tuesday, however I cannot pick up my prescription until 8am tomorrow (wednesday) and was wondering with the 9hr. difference, do I need to use some sort of other form of bc for a week or will the ring be effective regardless of the 9hr. difference from when I usually put it in, or would waiting couple of days (3 or 4) be long enough for it to become effective? Also, I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not but I am a petite person (I weigh 104) so I don't know if the amount of hormones for my smaller size makes a difference in the effectiveness?
Any response would be greatly appreciated!!

I would personally use back up for a week, just to ease my mind. I dont know if 9 hours would make such a huge differece but i know if you have the ring out for more than a week you are at a higher chance of ovulating/getting pregnant. So if kids are not on your agenda right now, I would use back up for a week... just in case :-)
