Hi all..

My Dr. prescribed Wellbutrin for depression. I started it 3 weeks ago tomorrow...started with one week at 100 mg, then started 200 mg the 2nd week, and supposed to start 300 mg tomorrow. I don't know why...but I'm afraid to take 300 mg., to tell you the truth.Afraid I suppose of side effects with such a high dose...

One of my questions is: Anyone here find therapuedic results on only 200 mg's of Wellbutrin??

Also, if Wellbutrin DID wrok well for you, how long did it take you to feel/see the results?

wellbutrin helps in my combo at 300mg. I think it took close to five weeks before it really kicked in

I wouldn't worry about going up to 300mg. that is where I am currently so far the only side effect that I can say for sure is caused by Wellbutrin is that I'm not hungry any more (and I like that side effect.) I do have other side effect/problems but I am on so many meds to take I not sure which one is causing the side effect or if it is a new problem. BTW, the max dose of Wellbutrin is 450mg. So really 300mg. is not that high.

Yes...I do remember about the appetite suppression. I took Wellbutrin 3 years ago to quit smoking, but only took 100 mg's for only 3 weeks, and lost about 6 lbs, that I remember. I do like that part too. I'm glad to hear that 450is the highest dose...I thought 300 was the highest. I'm on a lot of other meds too, but I've already been on them quite a while, so I should be able to tell if anything new pops up. Thank you, both.

Still wondering if there's anyone who takes only 200 mg's and has had decent results? (hate to take a higher dose if I don't have to)

And is this drug difficult to get off of? I was on Zoloft years ago, and that one was really hard to get off of it. Do you have to wean slowly off of Wellbutrin too?
