hi
i have had pain to the upper right of my belly button for about 8 months or so following an unknown illness. my doc doesnt think its important since my liver is normal. but its very distressing. sometimes when i sleep on my right side it really hurts all over my right side.

i have interesting bowel movements, sometimes yellow, sometimes very dark. never packed solid but formed loosely. at the end i get small flat pieces. my stomach seems to be getting very large but ive always been skinny. i am 26 yr old male.

anyone?? thanks

I'd go back to the doctor, or another doctor if you aren't getting anywhere. Could possibly be a hernia or gallbladder probs. Has that been ruled out?

I am a big believer in taking a water soluble fiber supplement like Metamucil because our diets just don't contain enough fiber ---fruits and veggies.

Psyllium in Metamucil is a stool forming agent and safe to take daily. The Equate brand from Wal Mart cost less than half that of Metamucil. I use the orange flavor ,sugar free type. Just drink enough water.
