I am looking for an herbal remedy for anal fissure. I have bought some metamucil, Aloe Vera (capsules, not squirt-bottle stuff) and some Cortaid (or some generic brand...I forget the name). Will these things help? Do I need an additional stool softener? I was thinking of Neem or Slippery Elm. I also need some ideas on how to keep the muscle from spasming. Thanks!

The homeopathic remedy Nux Vomica is very good for controlling cramping pains in the stomach and spasms in the bowels. It is also very good for helping constipation. You might like to try that and you can get it from any good healthfood store.
