Sponsor russ60 01-05-2003, 02:24 PM Foods that are easy to digest are carbs like potatoes, rice, oats, fish, chicken, bland type soups. Foods that are not easy to digest are red meat, pork, dairy products other than yogurt & kifir. For your bowels to be formed you need water soluble fiber like psyllium and methelcellulose LookingForHealth 01-07-2003, 11:31 AM what about flavored yogurt, avocadoes, wheat bread, dole juice? Sarah68 01-08-2003, 05:32 AM Ordinary yogurt contains dairy too and all the things that you mention are quite acidic in nature and could all possibly upset your stomach more than it already is. If you want to eat yogurt, then ordinary live yogurt is probably better than the other. Try to cut down on the wheat for a little, as lots of people with stomach problems find that eating wheat causes a lot of problems in the first place. This could be the case for you, so try to avoid it until your stomach is better. The juice and avocado are also too acidic at present. If you want to eat fruit then try bananas. They contain carbs and are not acidic. If you want to drink cold drinks, then just drink plain water. This will be better for your system in the long run. Also consider drinking warm water. This is very good for helping to cleanse your GI system and for settling and upset stomach. Warm drinks such as chamimile tea are also good. |
