I have TMJ and that really sucks. I also get ulcers in my mouth now and then that may last for weeks. I did have some ulcers in my mouth for the last few weeks. I thought my ulcers were gone, but I am still getting this weird irritation in my mouth. it is mostly on my right side. It seems like its in my cheek or something. I get dull pain on both sides and pain in teeth from TMJ. This however seems to be more irritated after or during I eat stuff. Its not like really sore but its still irritated feeling. Its drivin me nuts cause I duno what heck it is. At times it feels like its in my jaw but at other times it seems like its sore in my cheek. Could it be TMJ or mouth sores or what???? i find it hard to believe I still have ulcers after 4 weeks...

I'm not familiar with your condition, but have had mouth ulcers and after brushing my teeth (or any other time of day if you want) i'd mix a teaspoon of salt with half a cup of warm water and i'll swish it around my mouth and gargle too. I've found it clears up mouth ulcers in next to no time and my mouth actually stays fresher and feels nicer for longer than after using commercial mouth washes.

well its so annoying and its hard to explain. if i eat certain stuff it hurts on the right side of inside my mouth. other times its just like a dull hurting and weird irritation feeling. it really feels like its in my right cheek area and my upper gums. my right cheek also feels more puffier then my left. like its swollen or somin. i have a dentist checkup on wednesday. Im sure they could look I guess, even tho it doesnt have to do w/ teeth..right?

Please let me know what you find out. I am in the process of being evaluated for TMJ (waiting for appointment with specialist) and have a lot of the same symptoms you describe. Besides a pain in the muscle of the jaw joint itself, I have pain in both upper and lower molars on that side. I also get an irritating sensitivity/tingle/minor ache --- it's hard to describe--- in the cheek and jaw area on that side. It feels swollen but doesn't look like it. I do know I have chronic sinus issues on that side as well, so I've been attributing this irritation to that but now I wonder if it's TMJ related. Then sometimes I wonder if it could be a tooth problem missed by dentists. Anyway, let me know what you learn. Thanks!
