I'm in pretty good shape but off and on, my stomach just expands a lot, looks bloated or like a lot of fat in the abdomen. I'll think I've gained weight and then it suddenly goes away. My best guess is it's because of my period/hormonal changes and water retention, but it can last as much as the full 2 weeks pre-menstral which is a lot of time to feel so uncomfortable and unable to fit into my jeans!
anyone have a similar problem? any solutions, treatments, foods that arent too dangerous to expel this stomach fat or water whatever it may be?

I have the exact same problem. It sucks!!!! It is def. hormonal and water retention. I had to really become aware of my salt intake. You should only have about 1500mg/day of sodium and if you look at pakages of food even "non-junky food" can contain tons per serving. I try to season things without salt and stay away from condiments like ketchup (hard because I LOVE it) and pickles. Keep up water intake and look for natural diuretics like celery...it might help. I wish I could offer more advice. Hope this helps.
