Hey I was wondering, I missed my pill by 14 hours, Im on Diane 35 last weekend. I missed my Friday pill at 7pm and took my pill the next morning, Saturday at 9am. How long should I wait to have sex, I have heard 7 days but is 7 days enough? I am guessing I can have sex again Saturday ok, or should I wait till after I take my pill Saturday night?

you should read what the instructions say for your pill. you can probably find an electronic version online at the pill's website. with some pills you are still protected when you miss one pill, but if you miss 2 you need to wait 7 days. whereas, some pills you have to wait 7 days if you just miss one.

Technically you didn't "miss" your pill, you took it late. I believe that as long as you take it within a 24 hour period your are coverd. If you are on a "mini" (lo-dose) pill, that is a different story. If you don't take the pill within three hours of your normal time, you can get pregnant. A nurse told me the first and third weeks are the most important. If you miss these pills you have a higher chance of getting pregnant.

I agree with the last poster about reading your instructions. 7 days is plenty.
