Hi,
I've not had lower back pain to speak of that has lasted this long. In fact, it's been years. Upper back pain I have daily but not constantly.
I was vacuuming our car last week, and afterward, when I started to sit down, I felt a sharp pain in the lower back on the right side. I've had 'sciatic' pain before and thought that was beginning. However, this is different. It's ok once I'm up and moving, but getting up and down really hurts and getting in and out of the car really hurts. I'm ok sitting too unless I move to bend over to get up. When I'm standing and have to bend over to pick up something, it's very painful. Could I have pulled a muscle or moved a 'disc' that will eventually get better or is this something more ominous? I'm 68, a female and overweight by about 45 lbs. Otherwise, in good health. thanks.

Unfortunately its hard to say.. could be muscles or the spine. It would do you some good to get yourself checked. I hope you feel better soon. Take care. Tammy:wave:

Thanks, I keep hoping it will get better. I'm doing some stretching exercises and some given to me by my doctor for sciatic nerve pain awhile back. So far, the pain is still very much 'there'.
