i just had my tonsils removed on the 22nd. i was fine most of that day until i got home then i was puke central. i only puked the day of my surgery, 3 times, but i STILL feel very sick like i'm going to puke. any suggestions?? i can't do anything or else it upsets my stomach. i can hardly even eat. i am getting lots of water down.. it's pretty well all i can get down. i tried to eat some scrambled eggs.. it took an hour to get 5 bites down. it's just too difficult to eat anything so i have tiny bites here and there. that's not my main issue though. i just feel like puking 24/7 and i hate it so much. how can i make it better? i tried gravol.. freezies seem to make me sick instead of make me feel better. all i can do is sleep the entire day which is ok, but i still feel sick.

i'm not sure if this makes a difference but the meds the doc gave me were percoset (not sure if it's spelt properly) and some liquid antibiotics.. i think amoxicillan. this is somewhat aggrevating. just standing will mke me want to run to the bathroom.
please does anyone have suggestions?? my pain killers i know are supposed to make me a bit drowsy, but i don't think i'm supposed to be sick too on top of that? my mom was explained everything, she didn't mention it. i have to keep taking my meds every 4 hours or else i can't even talk at all.. it hurts to simply open my mouth..

on the upside, to give a sort of update on how the whole thing went, i woke up and took a deep breath, without any problem!! the doc said i needed them out, my surgery took about an hour long and now i've got two massive holes in my throat. although one side has a bigger hole.. it was the one with most tonsil stones.. i'm assuming it was veryt infected.

i am happy to have gotten this done.. but i just don't like this sick feeling i get all the time. anyone else have this? how long until it fully went away?

also, i think maybe this comes into play.. my period started yesterday.. bleh. i feel like a wreck and look like one too.

sorry for the ramble.. my drugs are kicking in and i don't know what to say anymore lol.. these are pretty damn strong.. thank god!!!!!

Hello, I'm not 100% sure but I think it might be the pain meds that are making you feel sick. Percoset (sp?) are very, very strong so that might be whats causing this.
