Hello. I have a question about Parents Choice Formula. DS is 4 months old now & has been on Enfamil Lipil for all but the first 2 months of his life. For certain reasons, we have decided to try Parents Choice. Has anyone used this formula & what has been the outcome? I have been giving him a little every day and he seems to take it well. No belly aches or fussiness. No gas, but a little spit up. Any experiences appreciated. Thx.

Omg heather I love that stuff. Not only does it mix well but ds doesn't get gas from it or doesn't spit up. Its very simliar to the enfamil lipil and soy kind so it's just fine to use. We put ds on it when we have no WIC checks bc it's the same price at the enfamil but in a much larger size!

I use it for when we are traveling and I am making bottles on the go, and also when we run out of formula for our WIC supply. I love it as well! I think it is just as good. We use the soy kind and it works well (for cheaper!!) :D

We used it as well. Our DD loved it. We at first had her on smilaic, but changed due to cost. Once i compared the two as far as what they have in them. There isn't a difference. She didn't even notice the change and never had any problems with it. Took it just like it was the same stuff. We just changed all at once. Not a little at a time. Great stuff

i asked the doc about generic brand formulas previously although ds is strictly breastfed (in the beginning i had a hard time keeping up with him...) she said that the fda regulations are so STRICT that no matter what brand you use, they will all be ok...

I get WIC also and just this weekend I ran out of Similac. DH and I got the Parent's Choice for the first time. I was a little hesitant as it is another brand and was worried DD might not like it or get sick. But DD seems to be fine with it, no problems at all. I noticed it doesn't smell the same as Similac (but formula doesn't smell or taste good no matter what brand). As long as DD likes it and it doesn't upset her stomach or anything I don't mind it, it has everything in it she needs that Similac has.

I had my son on it for awhile too and his burps smelled HORRIBLE when he was on it! I just thought that was funny that someone else noticed that it smelled different. Aside from the smell though, the stuff was great.

After reading the original post for this dicussion a few months ago, I switched. Parent's Choice is $11.88 andf Enfamil is about $23.00. I switched my daughter when she was about 4 weeks old and is now 3 months. It works the same as Enfamil did for me.
