I took a bath 2-3 nights ago and since then I have water stuck in my left ear and i can't get it out. I tried to sleep in that side, hop in one foot and tilt my head, gently used a qtip and I don't know what to do. It's bothering me because I feel the water moving when I move my head and I'm afraid of an ear infection or something bad happening !! HELP!

You can use 5-10 drops of vinegar or rubbing alcohol in the affected ear. Then just drain it out onto a tissue. This will help to remove and evaporate the water. You can buy products at the drug store that do the same thing.

Do this anytime you get water stuck in your ear, as soon as possible.

Do not do this with alcohol if the ear is already sore or infected. The alcohol will cause more pain. If an infection is present make an appointment to see a doctor.

OH MY GOD, this is what happened to me after I got my ears syringed a month ago!!! I THOUGHT it felt like there was still water in there, in just one ear, but the doc told me it was fluid in my eustachian tube, which I found not right, as I'd never had such a problem before.

But every time I moved my head (especially up and down, like bending over etc) there'd be this hideous noise like crackling water...UGH! This went on for days until finally VERY gradually, my ear would be moist each morning, and it lessened until it finally went back to normal. THANK GOD FOR THAT!

It is SO distressing not being able to hear properly and having water stuck in your ear. Blegh. I'll definitely be using the vinegar if it happens again!
