I'm so sorry you were denied your claim. Do you have an attorney? Best thing you can do is hire one, then they can take care of all the paper work, getting your records, etc.. They only get paid when you are approved, so nothing comes out of pocket. It's honestly one of the best things I've ever done - takes a lot of the stress out of the situation.

Good luck, hope things turn around for you soon:wave:

Sorry to hear you were denied:(
Like was said go get an attorney that only handles SS cases...My hubby was denied first time also so we went for the attorney...like was said no payment to him till we win and then there is a cap on what he gets. My husband's doctors didn't complete all the forms and after repeatedly being asked for the info with no return the SS denied. We found this out when it was too late..some doctors office staff don't feel like it is that important so they are lax in their job of getting to the doctor to sign and then even getting it mailed. One of my husbands forms was given to me when we had to get a note for his flu shot for the VN...it was like why' this still here....So now with the attorney will will get all the info ASAP...plus he is giving us all the ins and outs.....
Its hard to say what SS looks for... it is different for every case....it depends on your condition and how it affects your ability to function and work...
Hang in there...I know that sounds so hard to do but there are alot of us out here that are in the same boat as you....but as you can see it takes a while but those do get approved..

HI,
PLEASE get an attorney, I had an advocate help me, she worked for an attorney for 24 yrs. collecting all the info and putting things in order for them. She told me that SS looks for only what a test can document wrong, they don't listen to opinions from dr.s, only the results of test and therapy, that kind of thing. So it is very important to get every documented item from every Dr and therapist you ever saw for your case.

Good Luck and hang in there, I waited almost 4 yrs, but just got approved.

God Bless

Carol
