View Full Version : Breathing pain...

Hi everyone,

I have a question about my breathing and whether it's related to asthma. I have not been diagnosed with asthma but maybe there are some symptoms.
For the past 1/2 year I've noticed the need for me to gasp for more air every couple minutes. I do it involuntarily, I gasp for a good deep breath or often times in the form of a yawn. I have tried to do some research but didn't really find anything much of a prognosis.
As well, when I cry or suffer, because of the stress on myself, I feel the difficulty I have breathing and I get pain in my throat (more on the right side of my neck) and also in my chest.
Any ideas? Or am I just a bit more sensitive.

Thanks.

I have experience pain in my chest area, a tightness and could almost outline my lungs. I have some intermittent sore throat irritation but not alot. I would see a specialist. When I had lung pain, i was also exhausted because I was working so hard to breathe and needed a rescue inhaler.

Are you over that now, was there a cure or are you still on the inhaler and what did the physician have to say? where there any tests involved?
Thanks

I'm on a maintenance inhaler, advair, only used the rescue inhaler twice. Once on a really humid day, bad air quality and he told me to use it when flying. But no pain since that bad air day.

Yesterday only, I noticed that my right side of the neck upon massage felt lumpier. I feel two bumps that I don't feel only left side of the neck. I attempted that because I do feel a bit of uncomfort on that side of the neck but it's very slight.

Graciella, I would have those lumps looked at , that sounds like potentially lymph gland swollen maybe just a virus, mono ro something.
