I just recently found this board and have been amazed at all the good advice here! I've already tried several tips that have worked.

I'm wondering if someone knows a product that removes hard water minerals from hair. I've moved frequently in my adult years and am now in an area with hard water again. Since I will be moving again in a year or so, I don't want to invest in a water softener. In the meantime, my hair breaks and tangles so easily. Years ago, I used a product that was sold at a beauty supply store but can't remember the name.

Is there a shampoo to use regularly that will help? Has anyone tried the aspirin rinse?
