I read about this on the beauty tips thread and filed it in the back of my mind to try some day. I had just bought some Olay Regenerist and used it for the first time. The next day I woke up with one of those ugly, red, hard, under-the-skin blemishes. I went to Walmart and found a bottle of the non-coated aspirins to make the mask (very cheap too!). The next morning, the blemish was barely there and my skin looked so good!
Like any product or tip, I imagine it won't work for everyone but at that price, it's a worth a shot.

I love the aspirin mask. It's done good things for me. But I wish it was the miracle for me that it is for others.
It made a huge difference to the blackheads I haven't been able to get rid of for years. But didn't quite get rid of them all while other people claim they can see them popping out and that everyone comments on their wonderful skin now that their pores are all clear and minimized after just one or two uses.
I also have those white things all along my jaw line that one at a time turn into a big red very inflamed zit that takes forever to heal and leaves a red mark. The aspirin mask doesn't prevent that from happening. But I do think that it is reducing the number of white things I get. Gradually.

Try exfoliating your skin once/twice a week - then try the aspirin mask ...

I am assuming you just grind a few apirin up and make a paste with water. Thick or thin paste? How long do you leave it on?
Thanks.

You don't need to grind it. You buy plain uncoated or microcoated aspirin which will dissolve in the water. You can do it in the palm of your hand if you just need enough for your face.
And when it dries it will be a fine powder that will fall off and make you sneeze. So, before that.
I usually just use it as a scrub, although I put it on the worst problem areas first and leave it as I apply it and scrub with it elsewhere. I do my whole upper body in the shower.
Some people let it dry, then brush away most of it but leave the residue over night. Do that in the shower as well.
It's a good thing.

Does anyone know how often you can use it? Any harm in using 2 to 3 times a week? I was so pleased with the results that I want to keep using it but I don't want to cause any irritation.
Mixing it in your palm is a good idea. It only takes a little water and they dissolve so fast.

I used to do it as a mask at night but I like it better in the shower. It actually feels like it is exfoliating my skin. I take a few (4 or 5) and add a bit of water.. scrub it on my face and rinse. I get a nice glow for the day. I have also found that adding a toner to my skin regime helped my skin look better and I have less acne!
