This is my third month on Alesse. So far I don't feel too many bad side effects. This month I do feel cramping, like the kind I get right before my period), some mood swings once in a while, and a little spotting. But other than that, everything seems ok for now. My period has gotten a little shorter (before it was like 8 days, now it's around 5 days).
I would like to hear your experiences with Alesse. What kind of side effects do you have? And when do you feel them? And how well did it work for you?

Alesse makes me very moody! My friends and family say i'm really mean now that i'm on it, but it is really only my second month. My body's not really used to it I suppose?
Other than that it's a good birth control so far for me :)

At first, it was horrible. Mood swing gallore, horrible depression, anxiety, a month of breakthrough bleeding.
Blah.
Now? It's been 4 months and all that's stopped is the breakthrough bleeding.
I'm sad, moody and more sensitive than ever.

I hated it, my body hated, and my husband hated me on it lol.
I was moody, tired, bloated, gained weight, the list goes on...
needless to say I switched to the ring.

Im on Lutera the generic form of Alesse. The only reason why I got lutera is because my pharmacy didnt carry alesse. I've been on it for months I dropped 5 pounds, had some minor mood swings. 3 months in i missed one pill and bleed for 8 days even though i doubled up the next day. I seem to get my period on my last 2 active pills for some odd reason!! do not miss a pill whatever you do!
good luck

I took the pill almost an hour late last night. I was supposed to take it every night at 9pm. But I didn't take it until 9:45pm. I don't know if that'll affect me or not. So far everything seems fine today.
I'm still getting cramps. And last night I woke up at 4 in the morning thinking about negative things. That kept me up for almost 3 hours. It's weird, but it seems like the first 2 months were fine, everything started to hit the third month. Sometimes I feel like I'm about to get anxiety attacks. Then I try to breathe hard and calm myself down.
