Hi people, I was wondering if anyone knows of anything good to get rid of bloatedness? For the past few months I seem to be constantly bloated or something and gets worse during the day. Its all around the belly area and also always makes my bladder look like its full? Is that normal? Its sort of right from the bottom and all over my belly area. I'm usually constipated with IBS and when I'm on Iron pills (because I seem to keep getting anemic for unknown reasons) they do make you constipated as well. I'm hoping it is just bloatedness and not something else. I do think I've put on a bit of weight to but I keep getting the gasey discomfort.

Any one know anything I should take? Stomach just doesnt feel or look like it used to!

Hi Missimo,

Have you been tested for celiac disease? In the absence of some obvious potential cause for the anemia ( extreme menstrual bleeding or long-standing vegetarian diet), it's worth looking into. Atypical celiac can also cause gas & bloating. Something to consider, celiac is a serious disease that is easily treated, and it is much more common than once was thought.

Best wishes.

Hello, thanx for the replies. I did think about celiac disease once but thought I shouldnt be paranoid. I know that my anemia isnt down to periods now though because I have been on the pill for a couple of years and try to miss periods so its bit of a puzzle.
