Hi again I've just about lost all hope I've just had a barium meal done "nothing"
I'm 21, dont drink, dont smoke
I have heart burn 24/7! I was on ranitidine till it stopped working and now laprozanine "sumit like that lol I ran out and there taking there time on the repeat prescription so I've forgot the name" But it sounds like that!
Ok here it is I think this all happened when I was young I drank wart remover at 1 but dont think thats it because I was a really healthy child till I was 8 where talking all the sports days winner "not kidding."
Then bang I was really chubby, sick and tired all the time.
Ok so what happened when I was 8? well I had my throat crushed by my uncle ******* lost his temper just because I was playing he picked me up by my neck and squeezed "that ****ers got an arm on him!" No hospital appointment! After that when I jumped out of a tree or a wall flat "not bending my legs." I would feel sharp pain in my groin its kind of around the prostate area. Plus I remember peeing being hard from then on "me and my cuisin used to have piss wars with the door open now I have to be in a cubicle and know no ones there and then consentrate! But I can barely pass much urine anymore and I have to go very fruenquently.
Latley though I have also notice that when I burp "I burp a hell of a lot now." I want to throw up the urge was always there but I don't like throwing up much! Well a few days ago I tested what would happen if I let myself. Well it comes out in small doses of mostly liquid first but It will empty my whole stomach it just takes hours and when this happens I'm aware of this hard lumpy feeling in my throat around my chest, like when somethings stuck and it the same feeling I get when I eat and drink which is often why I eat large amounts fast or drink large amount fast, my body just tries to clear it but it can't.
I have no energy anymore plus I'm 16 and a half stone and I look 14 I'm afraid I have a large cancer or growth aswell its just that over the years I have lost all faith in docters. They just bully me into waiting too long and I can't talk back I went in a week ago for test results and ask for a mri for my neck and the doc said medicine is holistic and said to see my usually docter "Who was on holiday!" so I asked if I could see a stomach specialist which had been promised me if I had the barium meal. Again ask your previous Dr. Well what does it take to say yes and just book the appointments "I mean I could see my normal docter with the results, couldn't I?!" The new docter seemed more than happy to give me my reults of a negative test but not order more hmmmm. I just feel like cutting these days life is a blur the only reason I slog on is my girlfriend who I love more than anything if not I don't think I would be here today its a walking nightmare. I have a pain threshold thats through the roof yet the tiniest little emotional thing will make me cry histericly I'm a wreck!

I just hope someone out there has been through similar sircustances because I dont know what test to ask for.

I have cut everything out of my diet at one point of another, wheat, dairy, gluten and meat plus aspertame MSG basicly I was drinking water and eating veg and fruit having heart burn 24/7 and feeling weaker than an 80 year old alcaholic!

Please I guess I'm just freaking out becasue everyone who can help isn't helping and I just feel very alone.

thanks I'll try and cheer up though in the mean time but I just find it hard these days! buh bye

Sounds like you've been through alot. I'd suggest you go to a gastro specialist. Only one. Skip the holistic doctor (quack). Stick with a gastro specialist until they find out exactly what is wrong with you. You and your doctor are supposed to be partners. If you don't feel this way about your doctor, try and find one who will work better with you.

What diagnosis have you been given and by whom and what tests have you had? Does anything relieve the heartburn?

Good luck to you.

The tests I have had are:

Barium Meal - negative
HPlori test for ulsers - negative
Blood Test Check for Anemia - negative
Simple Shoulder & Neck X-Ray - both negative

What I would like is an MRI for my back, and full endoscopy. At the moment I'm on a bland diet, no dairy, no red meat with some relief.

Thnx I know the stress don't help me lol I got so depressed last night I binged on Mac'D because my left rib cage had started hurting infact all last night I had to lie on my right becasue everything else just wouldn't do it. god it hurts like bad cramp when I breath... not good...
But the prob with stress meds are that my main fear "even before I got stressed and had a big panic attack for no reason becasue I had dehydrated myself," is not being in control or being weaker becasue I just don't trust ppl easy. I never judge a book by its cover and I tolerate everyone I just don't trust them not to attack me. Believe me I have good reason I was always attack when I was really bad by bullies and my moms ex boyfriend. I like to protect ppl and I just can't and beta blockers etc make it worse. but thanx so much for the reply I'm grateful for every suggestion and you did hit the nail on the head BTW my stress isn't making my stomach any better thnx pls more replies if possible I'm going home to see my family and I will say thanks and answer questions as soon as I return see ya

As well as the physical stuff, you have a lot of emotional stuff to deal with too, such as bullying and all this still seems to be causing you significant problems now still. You are overweight due to comfort eating, which it sounds as if you are still doing - when you state that you got upset and went out a bought a Macdonalds? Sounds like you have been doing this since childhood too probably because you had noone to talk to about the bullying and did not have coping strategies in place to deal with it at that age, so turned it in on yourself by comfort eating.

I think that you really need to go and get some professional help with this - I mean that you could really benefit from going to see a therapist and talking about all your problems. If you can work through all your problems, then I think that you will start to have more self-confidence and may start to feel better about yourself generally. Once you start to feel better about yourself you may find that you want to eat sensibly and will start to lose weight.

This whole process may take a long time and you are not going to solve all the problems that you have had throughout your life with one session. However, you may start to feel a whole lot better after a few and you may find that your stomach feels better too.

The tablets that you were given for your stomach are called Zoton (Lanszoprazole) and they are a proton pump inhibitor. Also, if I were you I would ask for some food intolerance tests to be performed. An endoscopy could also be useful, but I would really encourage you to try therapy. This could really help sort out a lot of your problems and your stomach could be a lot better as a result.

This might sound too simple. But someone like you (which reminds me of me) is the sort of guy who would gulp food down. Even after I got that advice I thought I was chewing enough. Overchew your food for a few days and see how you go. The air in your stomach is most likely air that you are swallowing. Perhaps, too, because of your experience when you were young (not unlike mine), you are swallowing air unconsciously even when you are not eating. Try get some regular exercise. It will bring your stress levels down (apart from improving your health all round). Like me again, you have had a bad run with doctors. I only started to really get better when I took matters into my own hands. Do that if you have to. Stay positive. Your problem sounds very fixable. Regards.
