I saw this new line yesterday in CVS on sale for 2.99.
It looks like they have every type of hair texture...

Yellow-Anti-Flat (Flat)
Green-DeFrizz (Frizzy)
Pink-Hydra-TLC(Thirsty)
Blue-Anti-Poof (Poofy)
Aqua-No Major Issues (No Major Issues)
Purple- Straight Up (Kinky)

REMOVED I ordered a sample of the DeFrizz line and I decided I’d stop tonight & pick up a bottle of shampoo & conditioner- I think I'll try the Hydra line.

I'll keep you posted.....;)

Well, last night I went to CVS and read all the Sunsilk bottles and considering I have longish, think, curly hair and the fact our weather here of rain for  "40 days & 40 nights" - I bought the Green DeFrizz - for Frizz Prone Waves & Curls.

At $2.99-I wanted to buy them all but thought I'd see if the DEFrizz does as it says.

I'll have to wait for better weather before I decide what I think of it because I have no choice but to tie my hair up until this rainy, muggy weather lets up.

Stay tuned..........PollyAnn

So, I have been using the DEFRIZZ Sunsilk (Frizz Prone Waves & Curls) and find it leaves my hair a bit oily. Weird thing is my hair is naturally dry, brittle and unruly and this product has done the complete opposite and leaves my hair much too oily.

I'm going to see if the sample of other types of Sunsilk do the same but I will not be using the DEFRIZZ Sunsilk anymore.

My hair is currently highlighted and used to be damaged and breaking from a bad highlight job. I had dyed over it and ended up highlighting it again later on. It's MUCH better than it used to be, but it's still a bit dry and I have to use a lot of conditioner on it. I also flat iron it.

I am using Dove Therapy right now and I thought it worked well, but it seems like after I'm using a product for a while I need to switch again or it doesn't work as well anymore. I might be wanting to try the pink Sunsilk.. hope it can help! I want my hair to be silky again.. it always tangles! It is still thick though.. I always get it thinned out when I get a haircut.

I was also interested in trying Loreal's new line.. I forget what it is called.. Pro something Vive? I also used to use Garnier Fructis Sleek & Smooth and LOVED it.. so maybe I should get it again.. it's hard to choose the right product and I have wasted a lot of money on hair products and makeup so I'm trying not to buy as much. I'm definitely going to order a sample.. but let me know if anyone tries the pink one!

Sounds weird.. but I actually wouldn't mind my hair being oily right now! It just gets dry and oil treatments and deep conditioners seem to do nothing for me!! I just want the dryness OUT!

I highly recommend the new Herbal Essences. I'm using the Dangerously Straight kind. It's not THAT straightening, but my hair has never looked better and it feels silky.:)

I was thinking about trying some of those too, but whatever the hydrating kind is. I know Herbal Essences always smells so good anyway! I was actually thinking about trying the Sunsilk hair mask.. maybe I'll try some products of both! They both look pretty good and are great prices.. I'd rather spend less on my beauty products!

Garnier Fructis is by far my favorite shampoo right now. I'm so glad I decided to try it.
My hair has been looking horrible recently... I switched shampoos a whole bunch of times trying to find the right one.
I went from using Pantene (for like a month), to Aussie, Tressemme, organic shampoos, and finally they came out with the Dove Therapy so I had to give that a try.
That one was good for the first couple of times I washed my hair with it, after that it went back to it's messy, tangled, damaged self.

I finally decided to give the Garnier Fructis Fortifying Sleek & Shine one, and my hair LOVES it. It's soooo much softer, smoother, and healthier now.
I also got the deep conditioner, serum, and smoothing milk- all help to smooth out the hair and make it look so much better.
I'm definitely sticking to this one.
Hope this helps.

Wow, the Sleek & Shine shampoo from Garnier sounds like something to try! But I wonder what kind of hair do you guys have? Mine is fine, longish, and highlighted, normally straight but it gets somewhat frizzy in humid weather. Does it sound like it would benefit from this shampoo? I gave up on volumizing shampoos altogether--they don't really volumize anyway and my hair never looks good while using them.

I actually used the Garnier Sleek And Shine stuff for a while and I didn't like it. I DO like the deep conditioner masque a lot though.:)

Have you tried Redken All Soft or Smooth Down lines? Both had very good reviews from people with the type of hair as yours.

My hair is highlighted.. a little bit dry and occasionally gets split ends from all the highlighting (unfortunately!! i used to NEVER have split ends.. might go darker again!). It's a little bit wavy and fine but thick (each hair is fine, but I have a LOT of hair). My hair can get frizzy sometimes but never too bad.. it will more start losing it's style in the humid weather, and sometimes it gets static. It is also long.

Sleek N Shine never made my hair too moisturized or greasy at all.. but smelled great and made my hair silky when I was using it. I just bought Herbal Essences Hello Hydration for something different. It seems okay and smells good, but it isn't a miracle product or anything. My hair seems soft with it, but nothing too much different from how it was before. I was just not using Sleek N Shine too often b/c I always have to switch up my shampoos.. if I use the same ones for too long then they don't work as well later on.. so I switch and go back to the good ones!

Oh and I think Biosilk Silk Therapy is great for keeping hair smooth and frizz free is humid weather.. or at least it helps for me! It also great for just smoothing hair ANYTIME, protecting it for heat styling, and making it softer.

^I HIGHLY reccommend Burt's Bees Avacodo Butter Pre-Shampoo Hair Treatment. It gives you JUST the right ammount of moisturization, and makes your hair really silky and shiny. Leave it on for about 45 minutes to and hour and your hair will be gorgeous.:)

Hi Everyone,

I brought the anti-flat line(the yellow bottle) and it works nice. But i noticed something interesting about Sunsilk. It smells like apples and it reminded me of a old hair care line called Salon Selects. It's made by the same company as Sunsilk (Helene Curtis) and i'm wondering if it's the same product with a new name. Any thoughts?

Hmmm...

I wonder if Sunsilk is the same thing as salon selectives?? What a coincidence that it smells like apples and is made by Helene Curtis.

I too have seen the Sunsilk product line but passed on them and got the herbal essence instead. I have to say I am really pleased with the new HE line. I purchased a shampoo, conditioner, and leave in treatment from the anti breakage line. I love it!! Oh and it smells so good...just like coconuts.

I also like the new Herbal Essences line. I have several products I've been happy with but I switch around each time or eventually they don't seem to work AS well as before. I have the moisturizing HE one and it smells great and works good! My friends and I used it after being out on the beach on vacation and it made our hair soft and smooth after having all salty and dry.

I just tried the moisturizing (pink) Sunsilk and it seemed pretty good. My hair isn't as dry as it used to be so I'm not so sure how it is for really damaged hair. I ordered the sample online and used the leave in creme and that product moisturizes a LOT! It was much more noticeable than the shampoo and conditioner and smoothed out my hair and made it feel silkier. Make sure not to use a lot if your roots get oily! My hair is thick so I used a good amount to make it sleeker, but it may be good for only the ends if you are wanting to volumize your hair.

WVPumpkin, Try the Biolage for color treated hair. My hair has been great since using it. I also have fine, straight, color treated hair.
