Does anyone know what would cause someone to have squamous cells in the lymph nodes in their neck/collar bone?

I'm no expert and I know very little about colon cancer, but I do know that squamous cell carcinoma is a form of skin cancer. It can sometimes be invasive, but it's usually not as invasive as melanoma, which I've unfortunately had twice. I can't tell you why it's in your neck/collarbone, but I'm sure your docs will get to the bottom of things ASAP.

I should have been more specific...it is my brother w/the squamous cells. I am in treatment for colorectal cancer now. My brother has had a swollen lymph node that they have been messing around with for some time. They finally did 2 needle biopsies yesterday and also scoped him and took some tissue samples. They did an immediate pathology study and told him there are squamous cells there that shouldn't be there. Then they scheduled him to come back on the 6th for the rest of the results. They also scheduled him to meet with infectious diseases. The waiting game is on... My cousin just had his first treatment for Hodgkin's on Friday so I wasn't sure if this was a lymphoma thing or what?? I am really pissed at cancer today.
