Can a woman prevent herself from these things? If so, how? And can they harm a woman's chance at having children? IF so, at what point?

The doctors don't know what causes fibroids, so we don't know how to prevent them. They can affect fertility. They think that fibroids are caused by hormonal imbalance, but there is no proof.

Also heredity seems to be a factor. Don't stress over them.. I hae them in my breasts and uterus....just learn to live with REALLY tender pre-period breasts..weird mamograms, and heavy bleeding with cramps..
There are surgical alternatives for the fibroids in the uterus...but I prefer to leave this world with all the parts god sent me here with.
