View Full Version : Menstral cramps lead to unpleasant bowels

Ok, yes this is kind of a gross out-in-the-open question:

When I get cramps during my period, they are pretty bad. It was much better while I was on the pill, but now I'm off and they're getting back to being very painful.
Not only do I get bad cramps, but it seems like everything gets upset. My bowels actually get angry, and for the first day (which is the worst of my period) I get diarrhea.
Is this "normal" (as normal as cramping gets) and is there anything I can do about it? Would anti-inflammatories not only help my cramps, but also calm down my intestines?

Alright, to those brave enough to post with advice or similar experiences... thanks in advance! :D

It is completly normal. I too get diarreah during my period. It is a little annoying at times but VERY common.
