will I feel like crap for? I started the Lisinopril this morning and stopped taking atenolol yesterday. I my BP spiked to 160/100 and my pulse is around 100. I know that is normal when you stop taking a beta blocker, I was only on the atenolol for 1 week so I did not expect for this to happen. Any ideas how long it will be before the lisinopril will kick in.

my dr. told me it takes about two weeks for the bp med to start working. so hang in there for another week and see what happens. if it doesn't go down, you may need to take a higher dose of it.

The atenolol put me out of my headache range within a day and a half, which was great. But my BP has risen today since not taking the atenolol, and my pulse is a steady 100-110 BPM. I will take the free cardio workout while I wait for it to kick in though.
