hi i have been on the depo shot since jan 2006. everything has been fine but ever since the end of may i have had continious bleeding....some times heavy and sometime light. then it will go away for a day. anyone know what that is? could i be pregnant? i know i should take a hpt if i feel like i am but i dont want to get my hopes up if im not. any help would be great.

Nope, Its just depo.. your doc may give you a low dose BC for added estrogen so thew lining can repair itself. I was on Depo, bled for months, the added estrogen didnt work, I got anaemic and sick.. had to stop depo completely. Ive been off depo several months now and STILL have the bleeding ... was on BC pills only to try and control it and bled through that... so now Im getting off everything and going to see if my body will regulate itself before I go the route of a d&c... which probably wont work. I HATE depo! LOL!

I agree, it's the depo. Some women are fine and have no period and some bleed the whole time on it and in between. I was on depo for about a year and into the 6th month my period completey stopped and a few days after my last shot i started my period and had it pretty much every other week for a few months till the depo was finanilly out of my system and i am fine now.
