I'm having surgery today....it's schedualed for 10am.
I take my pill EVERY DAY at 9:30 but for obvious reasons cannot.
I plan on taking it this afternoon when i get home [outpatient] is that gunna mess me up at all?

I'm also worried about vomiting.....anyone know how long the pill has to be in you before vomiting won't lessen its effectiveness?!

I plan on using condoms until my next pack because I'm sure i'll be on antibiotics and I don't want to take ANY risks...but what i'm more worried about is like missing some or losing them to vomiting and then messing up everything and not knowing what to do about it!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

You should be fine, Since you will be using backup because of the antibiotics, you don't have to worry about pregnancy. Plus this afternoon is still within 12 hours so it shouldn't mess up your cycle.

Make sure you tell them you are on the pill. Surgery increases the risk of blood clots (even outpatient).
