Hi Cathy. Certainly sounds like your doc means fundoplication, but why so far away? If you've got reputable surgeons on staff nearby who've done many fundo procedures, I'm surprised you have to go so far away.

Keep us posted on what you find out - I can fill you in on fundo surgery (had it done in 2001). If it's some other type of surgery related to reflux damage, please let us know here on the boards too - we're all pulling for you.
