It keeps getting worse and worse. The last thing at the derm's office for me to try is accutane, but my acne has come back with every round of antibiotics and topicals, so I know it is hormonal.

I have been on yasmin for 3 months but i am still so oily covered with hard little pimples. it wasnt as bad as when i went off ortho tri cyclen, my whole body was covered. now it's my face and neck.
I am a bit hairy, so I think it could be hirsuitism as well or PCOS.

I am going to my endo next week...can he order any types of tests? will i have to get off yasmin? im so worried b/c i know the acne will come back full force.

Did you have acne before birth control or was it a result? Personally, I've always had flawless skin, before birth control and during, until I got off OrthoCyclen, my face exploded and for the past year I've been struggling with horrific acne. I've been to the dermatologist and topical stuff makes my skin peel off, and antibiotics (clindomycin) hasnt' worked either. I'm considering going on a low-dose bc pill to try and stop the acne. I definately share your pain in the acne department. People say it's the most common skin problem in the world, and yet I never see anyone with bad skin (makes NO sense to me:blob_fire )... makes me feel really alone and ugly. Hopefully there's something the endo can tell you! Best wishes. One thing though "This too shall pass":)

I know testosterone causes bad acne and hirsutism, which you think you might have. Have your endocrinologist test your testosterone levels. Those can be altered, and your acne and hirsutism under control. Good luck.:)
