I am 19 years old and for the past ten months I have been losing an excessive amount of hair daily. The part in my hair is growing bigger and I can barely hide it. Last year I dyed my hair about 6 times during jan -aug i also used gels, hair spray and blow dryed my hair then i noticed my hair started to drop so i stopped dyeing it. I still use gel and hair spray but as little as possile. The hair that drops out to this day still has the colour of the dye in it and some purely with my natural colour. Is it possible that doing all those things triggered my hair loss?? Is there any thing that i can do now to stop my hair from falling out and to regrow new hair?

I sincerely doubt that the products you have, or are using is causing your hair loss. Are you on any type of medication? Are you eating healthy? The fact that your hair loss is localized to the part area suggests possibly alopecia.

Actually, the hair loss is not localized to one area there is general loss from the top of my head which is just making the part in my hair seem bigger. And i read that certain dyes cause hair loss i was just wondering how long is this hair loss due to dyeing is supposed to occur? is 10mts too long?. I dont think i have alopecia since it is not falling out in patches and i have no family history of it.

No medications, stress, diagnosis? I would go see the MD.. thyroid issues could be at fault here too.
10 months is too long for the hair dye to be the culprit.
