I had a baby on the 22nd, I went to my gyn's today and the first reading they got was 171/101. theyput me in a room to rest, it dropped to 140/98 etc...

I said I had a headache for 2 days. They sad they would check with the doctor. Came back and told me to relax all weekend nd come back monday morning for a recheck.

I have a home monitor and I just got a readng at 177/93 pulse 56
before that 189/91 pulse 57

I dont want to have a stroke. Should I just go to an ER and have them give me something or wait it out over the weekend?

go to a night clinic.......at least i would say...did you have hbp during ur pregnancy????? i developed hbp during my pregnancy..preeclamsia.....but i thought it would go away because after giving birth my bp dropped to 110/66 but then after 6 mths i bought a home monitor and there i caught it ...i was diagnosed with prehypertensia to mild hypertension.......but i gained tons of weight s oi'm hoping 2 loose and get off meds if possible and also i've changed my lifestyle....so did u gain lots of weight???? you need medication right away i would say those numbers are preeety high ....
