I noticed a lump on the front of my shoulder bone last night although it could have been there for awhile.I already had a scheduled doctor's app't today and showed it to the doctor. The doctor isn't sure what it is but says it's on my clavicle possible where there is a joint (front of the middle of my body, not out by my arms) and it's partially soft and partially hard. This is the first time I've seen it. Could this be bone cancer from the Forteo? I will be getting an xray to start with. Has anyone else heard of any bone growths (besides normal) while using Forteo? This makes me nervous.

It's not a fibroma, is it? I'm sure your doc would know if it was this. I have something similar near my shoulder joint (soft and hard and growing) but it is definitely a benign fibroma. Good that you are checking it out.

Taape, I am hoping with you that this is nothing. My husband is on a number of medications and developed a lump in his breast from one. It turned out to be nothing and it ultimately went away. Please keep us posted.

I'll let you know after I have an xray. I have no idea what this is but hopefully slow growing because can't get the xray for about 10 days.

I had an xray of my collar bone last week and then went to the surgeon. He said the xray did not show any growth of any kind although he could clearly see and feel the lump. He thinks it might be arthritis in that joint.

Well. it's sure great news that there's no growth on your bone. I'm sure that's a relief to you (and the rest of us :) Sorry you still have the lump.

So glad to hear the x-ray showed no growth on the bone. That must be a big relief for you. I think all of us who are taking Forteo were holding our breath, hoping for this positive result for you. Whew!
