Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows how likely it is to get HIV if the man pulls out? I don't know if this person has HIV and I will never see them again. I made a huge mistake and I am pretty scared. I am going to get tested soon. I know "pre-***" comes out before they actually ejaculate, but does anyone know how likely it is to get HIV from that? Thanks.

You know, this is the issue of a hypothetical risk vs an actual risk. Since we are never able to measure the amount of pre-ejaculate, how do we know if withdrawing is sufficient to keep you out of harm's way? I mean in high school, people always thought it was a sufficient mechanism for birth control until several of the girls became pregnant. Obviously, you will want to be tested...chris

I don't want to worry you, but if you are uncertain, you should get tested. Read the moderator post at the beginning of the board about questionable exposures. It is possible to still contract it, even if they "pull out".
Wishing you the best.
