I posted yesterday about having been diagnosed with Chlamydia. Two months ago, a few days after having intercourse for the first time, I started feeling the urge to urinate frequently.

I just completed taking 10 days worth of anti-biotics (noroxin) and took anti-biotics for the Chlamydia four days ago (azithromycin)... however I still feel the urge to urinate. Maybe not as much, but it's still there. I have to go back in ten days to be tested again.

Im starting to get really upset and frustrated... What's wrong with me? Why won't the feeling go away?

First... I'll tell you what the docs told me... That I need to relax and forget about it... there are alot of nerves in that area and you become hyper sensitive to them when you think something is wrong.

That said... In June of 05 I was diagnosed with gonnahrea and treated with antibiotics... didnt have much symptom at all... just frequent urination and mild discomfort. I was treated about a 7-10 days after the encounter which caused the problem.

The symptoms remained after treatment... so I went back and was given different antibiotics... which also didnt eliminate the problem... 13 months, 1 GP, 3 urologists, and 1 dermatologist later and I pretty much STILL have the symptoms. Ive been retested and I no longer have it... but the symptoms persist.

I havent seen a doctor since January... really have run through that route... its slowly getting better... like maybe in 4-5 years... which I dont think is right but havent found a doc to help yet.

I also have a bit of dermatitis on the outside as a result of the encounter... the docs said its likely from the anxiety of the situation... and will go away when i forget about it... kinda hard to get your mind off having a problem in that area though. ;-)

Good luck and may your situation be resolved more quickly than mine.
