Hey everyone, I just started going tanning in a salon and I was wondering if any of you could recommend a good tanning lotion. I am very very light right now and I don't want to get too dark, I just want a healthy looking natural tan. Also, do i need a seperate lotion for my face? Thanks for the help

I would use Ocean Potion lotions.. just from the grocery store. They smelled very good (like orange & cream)! If you don't want to get super dark, don't use a tingle cream! They always kind of freaked me out since they make you red, but they are supposed to make you darker. I forget who makes it, but there is a kind called Tan 2 Max that I didn't like since it didn't make me as dark as I wanted.. so it might be good for a subtle glow (and it was moisturizing). LA Express also makes some good ones. I got all of these at the drugstore/grocery store.

If you want a more expensive salon brand, I'd go for Hempz. They were really moisturizing and have a lot of great products. They should sell it at the salon and can tell you about the different kinds and which is best for a natural looking tan.

I don't tan at salons anymore.. but I use my leftover lotion as REGULAR lotion and it's great for that too! Especially my LA Express shimmer lotion.. so pretty!

Hoss sauce works great for me. :) In comes in 'Ultra Dark', 'Super Dark', and 'Dark'. You should probably start out with the 'Dark' one, it's for beginners. It can be used on the face, too.
