In February I got a prescription for Desogen birth control and took it for the next 2 months. Im very bad at taking things on schedule therefor after the 2 months I discontinued the use of it. In that time period I put on a considerable amount of weight (20+ lbs) and though I was overweight before I had never had stretch marks on my stomach, thighs or breasts and now all three have DARK/BRIGHT red stretch marks. My weight had always stayed stable for a good 3-4 years, it was never effected by stress, or anything else. I figured with getting off of it Id lose the weight again but Ive been off of it for a good 2-3 months and the weight is still there, along with the stretch marks.
Any help? My periods are still all messed up, recorded cycles now being every 33-36 days. I dont know how bad I messed up my hormones or if thats what it is but Id like to know what to do. Am I suppose to wait until they just even themselves out?
Thank you!

Yes I've taken Desogen and didn't gain weight but pills affect different people differently.
Has anyone tested you for Cushings Disease? The stretch marks you are describing are one of the classic symptoms. Other symptoms (and it varies a lot from person to person) can include irregular periods, weight gain especially in the abdomen with thinner arms and legs, a rounding of the face, easy bruising, and a "buffalo hump" on the back of the neck. If you are at all suspicious I would see an endocrinologist and request a blood and 24 hour urine test for cortisol.

The stretch marks only came after the Desogen. I dont have any of the other symptoms, just lower ab weight and my periods are the same flow Ive always had and Ive never really "charted" the dates until recently and theyve been like I said 33-36 days apart, the weight Ive gained went to my lower abs, thighs, and upper arms like it does whenever I do put on weight.
I mean Ive never heard of that so Ill research it but I really dont match much of the symptoms youve told me. I have no knowledge of that disease, and I dont know if my age would have anything to do with any of it all but Im only 17.

After doing some research on it, it seems highly unlikely that its the case. The normal ages are 20-30, and Im 17. Its apparently rare. I have a slim face, and often upper body obesity is associated with it, and mine is all lower. And only the areas on me in which I have stretch marks are the places Ive gained weight (lower abs, upper thighs and breasts but the only red ones are lower abs and upper thighs). Thank you very much for the suggestion though...
Any other thoughts on what to do about it all? Or am I suppose to just exercise and hope they go away that way?
