For the last month I have been treating my asthma. I was prescribed two inhalers. They didn't seem to help too much. I returned to my doctor who prescribed a steriod treatment, it helped somewhat. Again I returned to the doctor who performed x-rays & found that I had pneumonia, and was given more meds. Here's my question: I haven't had an asthma attack in 8 years, the 1st attack was when I was pregnant with my daughter, this is only my second attack is this common ? Need to know because I was fired from work after 2 weeks off w/ these conditions. My atty said that it would hold up in court because it has been so long since my last attack. Any info on this would help thanks.

asthma is unique to each person as to what triggers the attack. You may not have a problem today or a year from now or you may have attacks on a daily routine it is a matter of what triggers your asthma. You need the lawyer to decide the legal with the info of the doctor,I do not think that asthma is a cause for being fired.

Tinkerbell,
Hi, has a doctor ever diagnoised you with having asthma? It's my understanding that one can go years without having an asthma attack. Check out the American with Disabilities Act of 1991, it projects people with chronic illness such as asthma against unfair treatment by employers.
Good Luck
