Hello, I have been on and off anitibiotics for a while now because I had a urinary tract infection that just would not go away. Well, I am soon to be engaged and I have been on birth control for 3-4 months. While I was taking antibiotics, we have done our best to be safe without condoms. But, now that I have stopped the anitibiotics (while still wearing my bc patch), I wondered if the fact that my bc is kinda coming back I would experience tender breasts. I know it is a side effect of the patch but I wasn't sure if I might be pregnant instead. I can't take a HPT for a week because I haven't even missed a period. But, if the time period from when i stopped my last bc and when i ended my antibiotics is a little over two weeks ago, could I be experiencing breast tenderness? It just confuses me because I'm on the patch and it makes your body produce the same symptoms as if you were pregnant.

Also, because I'm on the patch, how long should I wait before I take a HTP, considering the fact that my hormone levels (due to the bc patch) may force the test to assume I'm pregnant?

Sorry if this makes no sense. But, if anyone could offer me some advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

It would be fine to have a baby only because I know I'm with the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. But, it is not even close to the right time.

take the HPT when your period is due if it does not show. BC will not make a false positive- it is a completely different horomone than what the HPT is measuring.
