see a neurosurgeon or at the very least a neurologist, although the NS would be the better way to go.you know,i have had the same type of thing going on over the last like six months or so,and I still do not have a clue as to why this started or whats causing it,but in my case,i also have some very long deep grooved,(from thetop of the back of my haed on down to just below the ear level)"channel like" grooves at the back of my head.they were just 'there" one day out of the blue,I have spokenwith my NSs nurse and my primary and even had a skull series of x rays done an still no actual explanation for these to jsut suddenly be there one day.these have also been changing in posistion from time to time with one of them(i do have one on each side of my head)suddenly kind of shfting a bit over or down?it is really rather bzarre.
I have done tons of research on these little suckers and have not found anything that even remotely explains even why something like this would actually occur or trigger.
If you should happen to actually find out ANYTHING on this PLEASE let me know, will ya?and i promise to do the same for you, lol.this really IS just freaky.
but at any rate, despite the fact that your doc has 'other pateints with this"??whats up with that? and does not seem to actually care about this,i would most definitely ask to be referred to a neurosurgeon.they really ARE so much better in this type of situation than any neurologist would possibly be,trust me,I have seen plenty of both types of neuros and the NSs win hands down over the overall knowledge of this kind of stuff over and neurologist.
if your doc gives you any hard time about not wanting to refer you to a neurosurgeon for this, just askhim to please tell me just what is happening with me and whay this just suddenly appeared?if you cannot actually tell me why and what is causing this then you owe it to me to send me to a specialist who CAN possibly tell me.that should get him.if any prmary has a patient with some major condition or something kind of off the wall like you do,they should know themselves when something is just "over their heads" and be more than willing to send you to a specialist who can better treat that particular condition/problem,you know what I mean?my primary, because of some major medical issues I have had to deal with over the past few years, has had to refer me off to many different specialists when my conditions became more than he was capable of handling himself, that is what a good primary is supposed to do,co ordinate your healthcare for you.if he is not doing that for you, well maybe its time to find a primary who actually knows how to appropriately treat all of his patients.
okay,i am off my box now,i promise, lol.i am just so tired of docs in general ya know?
but get that referral, and please keep me posted on anything you find out too.good luck,FB

Hi Feelbad,
I really appreciate your time and thoughts. I will get an appointment with a neuroligist. I Had been on a year long treatment with interferon and ribaviran, which had ended alittle before i noticed this i have been off it for 3 months now but my liver doctor said there was no relationship to that. Are they ever sore when pressed on? mine feels almost like a babies soft spot only a little bigger and only on 1 side Thanks for talking with me and I will let you know if I find out anything.::wave:
