Hello All,
I need some advice on how to tell my boyfriend of 1 month and 3 weeks that i contracted an STD from him. It showed up Positive for Chlymidia. My DR gave me pills to take and for him to take the rest as well. How do i go about telling him i contracted it from him and to take the pills without him getting mad? I dont know how to tell it to him. Please help.

What made you go and get checked? were you having smyptoms? You need to tell your BF to go and get checked because you have contracted it off of him. It can go un noticed for months for some people so maybe he doesnt think he has it. He needs to go and get tested. Do you know it was def him who gave it to you? not one of your past BF? if it was one of your past BF then you may have given it to your current BF so he should know. Just be honest with him and if he really wanted to be with you then he wouldnmt have a problem :)

Just tell him! If he gets mad that's his problem. Don't hold back when it comes to your health. Be to the point, don't beat around the bush... Just let him know flat out that you contracted clamydia, you took the antibiotics, and you highly recommend that he get tested for his saftey. I had to do the same thing. It sucks, but you have to bite the bullet. Good luck!

I agree on just telling him. Who cares if he gets mad. You had a right to be mad yourself. I would just be like hey....you gave me this and I think you need to go get checked out. STDs can get outta hand if they arent taken care of. I think your health should be number 1. I would do whatever I have to, to tell him. Its gonna be kinda hard telling him, but you have no choice. Good Luck!

i totally agree. Just tell him. He'll be concerned as well, so just tell him to go get tested. Getting tested is no big deal, plus with most men, its all visual anyways. He'll be thankful in the end, if he does have it, and you did push him to go and get tested.
They can definatly get out of hand, take care of it before it gets anyworse.
goodluck.

Why should he be mad? He gave it to you! If anyone should be mad, it should be you. He might have known he had something but thought it went away, or he might never have known. He should be glad to know.
Just count your blessings that he did not give you herpes. This is why we always say to use protection until you are well into a monogomous relationship and both have been tested.
