I've been taking 150mg/day (1 pill) of Wellbutrin (Bupronion SR) for about 8 months. I'm not depressed, but had a traumatic event I needed to overcome. I'm ready to stop taking the Wellbutrin (I think its giving me headaches) and was curious if I quit cold turkey will I notice any side effects?

Thanks

I am pretty sure that will make your headaches worse and you will probably have other effects from doing cold turkey. Try to get your doctor to ween you off the drug.

You should never stop a medication cold turkey, especially SSRI's like Wellbutrin. You need to talk with your doctor about slowly weaning off of the drug, as strongernow already stated. Also, it sounds as if you were being treated for PTSD. Just to warn you, coming off of the medication may bring the symptoms back. Have you been through CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)? CBT helps very much with PTSD.
