Yes, lots of fun things I've been dealing with for the past few months.
First off, before I started having these strange headaches I had maybe two in my entire life. They last about 3-5 seconds and they are usually gone, but happen all througout the day - every day. They almost feel like the bone hurts more them my actual brain. They are usually on the side and back of my head - but early on were behind my eyes as well. Whats really odd is if I put pressure on the area of pain with my hands the pain subsides while I'm doing so. My doc ordered and MRI and it came back negative. Pain medication has only helped slightly. So, I've pretty much just been dealing with it for about 4 months now without real answers.
I don't even know if this is now related, but here is where it gets interesting. My wife and I were both having some pain urinating so we went in for a test. We BOTH came back with UTI's positive for nitrates and white blood cells (forgot medical term). They gave us some antibiotics and sent our samples off to the lab to be cultured but somehow they were lost or something to that effect. My wifes pain seemed to have gone away - but I still has some discomfort. I say discomfort because its not really painful when I pee, but feels like its almost constantly dripping and is a little difficult to get the last few drops out. After that first test I also started haveing pain underneath my testicles, not actually on them, but under them and where my groin meets my leg. This has progressed to pain in my Butt and in my lower abdoman, and I've also had pain that seems to be in my bones down my leg and sometimes even in my foot. This progession happened over about 1 week. I went back in to get another Urine test and this time it came back with absolutely no nitrates, but still had a bunch of white blood cells present. They sent this sample back to the lab and I get my results later this afternoon. One other item - during this last month or so I have had diareha and if it does come out semi-solid its always small - and always sinks to the bottom.
I know, lots to think about. I am not one that usually gets sick at all, and never really go to the doc or worry much if I do - but this one has me freaking out and it's effecting my work...especially the headaches.
Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks for any insight you can provide, I'm desperate.
Oh, and I am only 28
thanks

Oh, one more thing, the acheing under my testicles and butt seem to get worse while sitting down - much less bothersome walking around or standing. I have had some dizzy spells here and there as well with nausia.
thanks again
thanks again

Ok, so I'm back from the doc today-
The checked the prostate - fine. Urine culture came up negative for bacteria - and they now said only had minimal white blood cells. They then ordered a xray of my abdomen and found 4-5 blockages...which they said was strange for someone my age. They think this is the problem, but could these really cause the acheing under my testicles? Or by pelvis/pain in my butt? how about the headaches? They seem to think so, but I am a little more then skepticle.
They gave me magnesium sulfate (think that's what its called) and Colace. They said I would be on the pot all night - but I've only had two movements and both were very watery. I haven't felt like I've had to go again now for 2 hours. Is this a normal reaction? or if I really have those blocks shouldn't they be more regular and often? Could this be a more serious block? I know a lot of questions here, but I could really use the insight, my wife is also very worried - I just want to feel normal again...
thanks

Hi Rtorch
You have me baffled here but I think its interesting information for all to know what your symptoms are and the course of treatment.
Where are the 4-5 abdomen blockages? Intestines, colon, stomach, rectum? What type of doctor or you seeing?
UTI do set off pain and discomfort in the entire lower abdomen area including the rectum (butt) and testicles. The headache may just be your body feeling stress from being off balanced. Magnesium is a great supplement for many things including migraine headaches and inflammation. When taken in high doses it does have a laxative effect.
Please keep us posted....
