Babycakes,
I too was recently diagnosed with PCOS by RE. Put me on pill for one month, then started with a clomid IUI cycle. I ovulated after ~18 days, had a BFP pg test, but miscarried. RE also put me on glucophage to help with ovulation which it did. Keep asking questions and if you are eager to get pg and are seeing regular obgyn, consider request for RE, since they specialize in disorders like PCOS.
Good luck

I was just taken off of the birth control today, after one month also, and the nurse told me today that I will be starting injections after the first day of my period. The doc feels that if I ovulate that I will DEFINITELY get pregnant with no problems; however, about four years ago I got pregnant and lost the baby after 11 weeks and 5 days into the pregnancy. The doc did not give me a reason for the miscarriage. How long after you got pregnant did you miscarry? Do you think if I do get pregnant I should ask the doctor to keep test going checking my hormones because I heard that sometime doctors have to give women progestrone during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy so that the women's body doesn't miscarry the baby? Let me know if you know any of these answers....thanx
