i have this kind of gnawing pain right to the left of my right ribcage after i eat anything. doesnt have to be greasy. its right where my ribcage begins. is that part of my stomache area or gallbladder. im on aciphex now just started it 8 days ago for reflux and heartburn. but i still have that irritating gnawing pain and its tender when i push there.i had a sonogram of the gallbladder and it showed a polyp that ive known about for 5 yrs. no change thanks for any info.

Hi there - could be your gall bladder or could be an ulcer. You really need to have further testing done to determine specifically what is actually the problem.
Good luck,

Yvonne,
listen to Harry. Your symptoms are EXACTLY the same as mine and I have a hiatal hernia for 10 years now. Harry gave me some great advice the other day and I went out and bought some Magnesium. WOW! What a difference. I was in a CONSTANT state of spasm that I didn't even know what it was. Everytime I ate I got the same pain on the left side that lasted for hours and hours...and hours. I started on the Magnesium two days ago and I am eating again. I'm taking my time I still feel twinges but they are nowhere near as painful as before. My magnesium levels must be really depleted. I know it will take time for the levels to come back up but so far it's working for me. THANKS HARRY!

Your symptoms are too vague so I would have more testing done which looks like that's what you are going to do. When I first started having pains, I thought indigestion but it ended up being ulcers. Now that I have been diagnosed, I have learned that the sort of pain that I had could have been a number of things, pancreas, gastritis, indigestion, gallbladder, ulcers,... I have learned that usually if the pain doesn't resolve on it's own after a few days that something is going on that needs to be investigated by a doc. Let's us know how it goes and take care.
