Hi everyone.
I'm 18 and lately I have been noticing some strange things.
I have no history of mental illness, but have always thought there was something missing if you know what I mean.
About a month ago I had a fair few drinks and ended up getting home at about 8 the next morning, and going straight to bed. While I was lying there I started to notice that everything on the floor seemed to be alive. My clothes were wriggling and after watching this for a while and spinning out it got worse and my shoe appeared to be "eating" my sock.
I don't know if this is just a result of being hungover or maybe the hangover magnifies the problems. Just yesterday morning I was hungover again and again stange things were happening.
Out of the corner of my eye shadows would slowly move as if trying to escape but when I looked at them they would snap back to where they were. My backpack was "breathing" in rythm with me, not making a sound just expanding. My oddly shaped heater appeared to be dancing.
Also when I stared at the carpet for long enough I would see a faint picture of a person and it would kind of move... and I could see vivid "movies" on any dark surface.
This has all stopped now that I am not hungover, but one thing I have noticed that happens all the time is that in any kind of random pattern like wood or a blanket with random squiggles is anywhwre I look on it I see faces even when I'm not looking directly at it.. weird.
Just need someone to help me out. Let me know if I should seek out some professional help etc.
Thankyou.

If it has only happenned the one time I would not be overly concerned, probaly a combination of alcohol and being tired.

It sounds like a combination of alcohol and being very tired. Alcohol can cause hallucinations and so can being very tired.
If this happens when you haven't consumed any alcohol, then see your doctor about it. Otherwise dont worry. :)

I've had this happen, when I'm extremely tired that I'll hallucinate strange things (like last time I hallucinated the corner of my room kind of folding in on itself and becoming triangular, all too vividly). The best advice is to get enough rest every day and wait until it potentially happens without the alcohol. If it does, then consider it more seriously but until then, just shrug this off, it's not serious sounding.

The next time you're offered a drink, say "No thanks", you may be allergic to it.
