This may be me and my health anxiety/hypochondria...

On Friday I started feeling as what I can best describe as if a person is put 2 fingers in my legs and he is squeezing but not very much. When I lie down and fall asleep it's all good. The "feeling" goes from my knee up thru my leg, my left testicle, my left buttocks, and my lower left back. My knee feels kinda stiff.

Warmth in those areas feesl great. I may have pulled a muscle or pinched something as this general feeling, now that I think of it, has happened before on rare occasions over the past 10 years or so.

Pain scale from 1-10 is 3-4 if even that. It's not a constant pain. More of a nuissance. Below are how I rate my symptoms from a checklist about blood clots in legs.

Leg Blood Clot Symptoms
Symptoms occur in the affected leg when a clot obstructs blood flow and causes inflammation. Symptoms may include the following:

Swelling - none

Gradual onset of pain - not really

Redness - none

Warm to touch - cool to touch just like my other leg.

Worsening leg pain when bending the foot - none

Leg cramps, especially at night - none

Bluish or whitish discoloration of skin - none

I have had blood clots in both my legs (along with a resultant pulmonary embolism). The first thing you have to ask yourself is: am I at risk for a blood clot? Have you had very recent surgery? Have you had a very recent very long trip in which you were relatively immobile? Are you on any type of hormone pills or birth control pills (I know, you're a man, but that is a HUGE risk factor, so I thought I'd throw it in for everyone's benefit)? Is there any history of odd blood disorders in your family? Have you been completely bedridden for any reason very recently? If you can answer no to the above questions, it is HIGHLY unlikely that you have a blood clot. Blood clots can present differently in different people, depending upon the person's age, health, and location of the clot. My legs felt incredibly full and tight and they hurt very badly when I walked, and they ached terribly when I was being still. No discoloration. Then they broke off and went to my lungs. But luckily I'm still here. The cause: birth control pills which brought on an acquired blood disorder. 4 years later, the blood disorder is undetectable and I'm off blood thinners and healthy (except for anxiety). Seriously, most people have more than one risk factor when they have a clot. I wouldn't give this much more thought if I were you, unless of course, one of the above does in fact apply to you. Take care.

I sit in a chair in front of a PC alot. I would say that I do not have a pulled muscle or sciatica. Actually more of an acute case of the dumbass.

Mr. Panicky,
If you are worried about it, what can it hurt to have it checked out?? I woke up one morning and had horrible pain in my leg and couldn't put any weight on it. I went to the ER (they can do an ultrasound on your leg and tell you right away if you have a blood clot). Turned out, I had a fluid filled cyst behind my knee. I felt so much better knowing it wasn't a blood clot.

Not so much the dumbass as the worry wart, and we've all got that, don't put yourself down.

I get pinched nerves very easily. Most of the time the pain starts behind my ankle and slowly radiates up. Actually ironically I've now done something to the nerves in my arm. It really sounds like sciatica to me but if it's still there in a few days get it checked out to make you feel better
