View Full Version : Soreness...Top of Foot

For the past few days I've been experiencing soreness on the top of my foot...between toes and ankle area. It only hurts if I touch it or put pressure on it. There is no redness or swelling....almost feels like something is bruised.
When I wear slippers or go barefoot, it is fine but when I put a shoe on, it hurts. Any ideas? I've tried soaking my foot but that didn't seem to help.
I don't remember hurting my foot....just seemed to come on suddenly.

It almost sounds like a stress fracture but I think that would still hurt barefoot and you would be able to pinpoint the exact location. Do you wear lace up running shoes? Have you had any new shoes lately? If you wear lace up shoes...try lacing up every second hole. Maybe a nerve is being entrapped by the shoe. Or you could try a tongue pad but the cheaper way to go would be to take the pressure off of the top of the foot and see if it helps the pain. Let us know how it goes. Sophie:angel:
