please can someone talk to me, ill just give you a run down of my health history, ive had a history of chest infections, im 36 im on methodone but have had no street drugs for several years i was a smocker but quit it, ive got an underactive thyroid, and i have a chest infection at the mo, we all had this virus me and the kids but mine always goes into an infection i have green flem always! anyway i had to go back to the doctor and now he has sent me for a chest exray and im petrified, and im scared because it does feel a bit achey in the bottom of my left lung!! and actually i heard each of my doctors mention the bottom of my left lung was the bad area in the past, im thinking the worst i have 3 children under 10 and i would do anything for them could this be a bit of underlying emthasemia or old scares from previous broncitis, i read that it could even be a bit of pnemonia that could have been there for a while??? im so scared that i have got lung cancer or something and i cant stop crying please can swomebody talk to me and disscuss?????????? all my love to everyone on the boads
ps i have had previose inhalers for mild ashma probs and once i had to have a course of steroid pills, sometimes when i have infections i cough up bits of blood but its when i cough really hard and ive been trying to get my gob up it feels like i need to clesr my throat alot, and most of the time i dont have breathing difficulties except when i have caught colds of the kids and it very ofton results in it going to my chest, this time i can feel a ache in the bottom of my left lung but i also think im still coughing up stuff from when i stopped smoking is this normal for lots of yukkie stuff to keep coming when you quit the fags?? do yoyu think this can make more flem thanks everyone love from katxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxx:confused:

Your the female version of me , I have so much anxiety and it makes you feel 100 TIMES WORSE then you would if you didn't have that problem. I know , because I end up in the emergency room about 5 times a year and almost every single time I go home a few hours later with normal results on all my tests. Dont worry about the xray , you need to have that done when you have congestion/infections or bronchitis or asthma issues. Anytime you cough up blood it needs to be further looked into , if anything was wrong when they find it early its always best.

You have some other issues that could be contributing to your infections. Both and thyroid disorders can disrupt your immune system. I have asthma and have started using a daily preventative inhaler. It has been wonderful because I don't get those nasty infections every year. I don't know much about the thyroid, but it certainly can cause immunity problems. My advice to you is to get your asthma checked again. Uncontrolled asthma can cause chest infections and achiness in chest. Also get your thyroid under control. Start eating better and take vitamins to build your immune system. I would worry just yet!

thanks for talking withme it means alot i have a partner but he wont talk he is a mans man and a closed book!11 lol a bit tough and is from manchester england!!! so i really appreciate you and i will be pestering you in th future probably lol yes i have anxiety issues and for a long time i think my thyroid problem went un noticed and they thouight i was a loonny hypocondriact and just chucked diazepam at me prob to shut me up!!!! im more scared because i used to smoke i did quit but restarted bvut not heavilt then a few months ago i quit again i think there is something there but im hoping its something they can deal with???? it is achey the one side ive just got onto a preventer its becotide and i think i will put on weight it makes my appetite intense!!!! ill keep yu posted thankyou so much you cheered me up and helped me see things from a different angle love from katxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:wave:

Anytime, Kat, that is what these health boards are for. It helps to talk about your anxieties. Believe me, I know. Since I was diagnosed with asthma, I was terrified thinking I had some emphysema like my dad. He died with emphysema, but also did not take care of himself. But I have learned so much from the Boards; things the doctors will not tell you. I have also learned that thyroid problems can make you feel like you're going insane. Find a good doctor that will help you find the answers. Good luck and God bless...

atleast my doc has only made me wait a week for this scan , its only a normal chest exray and i dont know how accurate they are did you go for this one??????? im so scared im sick, ive been to an endo for thyeoid issues and he was awfull he disscharged me with a swollen thyroid!!!!! what is emthasemia is it treatable i just know they are goling to say theres something it is somathing on my left lung and me thinking worst case sinarios naturally!!!! lol love to you:angel: i dont know you yet i can talk to you more than my closet freinds thanks xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:wave:
