hi all, for the past 3 or 4 wks. just about everyday after eating lunch, i can feel this headache coming on. seems to start out in the forehead and then progresses to the back of the head and down into my neck. pain eventually is severe towards 4 or 5 o'clock and neck is quite stiff. i've been on inderal 160mg for years for some heart rhythmns problems and on hyzaar for a couple years now. take both of those in the early morning. had my bp checked around 3pm and it was 186/100. normally runs like 140/90. i had 3 stents back in 01 and was on 80 mg. of lipitor along with tricor and plavix until the fall of 05. started having muscle problems, unexplained pains and burning, weakness, etc.. i quit those cold turkey, which was not the thing to do, but i was at my wits end. it's been almost 7 mos. now without the lipitor/tricor/plavix. was on mega vitamins, fish oil, garlic, vit c, b complex, folic acid etc., until my ulcer went crazy. i suspect the mega vit or fish oil capsules may be irrating the stomach, but have no idea why the headaches have started. any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

OleDave Hello...My Mother suffered for years with HBP and the last thing you want to do is take yourself off meds cold turkey and ODing on vit's. Imagine if you will your body is like a sponge every fiber of your body is loaded with the particular HBP pills you have been taking and then you switch to a load of vitamins...Bad reaction/interactions can happen here making you health even worse than it was! I know from my Mothers experience how frustrating this disease can be on you and I am truly sorry really! I didnt learn just how bad it really was until after she passed away (she kept daily journals) To say she felt bad is an understatement.:( Have you spoken to your Doctor about this? Talk to him/her and see what they have to say, if it is not helping you at all change doctors now...My mom had went through a half dozen doctors before one actually listened to what she was saying. Hang in there sweetie but definately see a doctor before any more damage is done! It might take a while but from the bottom of my heart I hope you feel better soon:) Oh sweetie Im sorry I forgot the headaches are most likely from your BP which means its way too high you really might want to go to the emergency room and tell them exactly what is happening...I dont mean to scare you completely (well maybe I do if this makes you sit up and take notice!) but this is a very serious warning sign of a possible HA. Dont take this so lightly. HA signals could be anything from slight nausea, shooting pain in arm, backache, headache, inability to focus, hot flashes ect. Give in and go sweetie we would like to see you around for a while Ok!
